TripWIP – Work In Progress !

Ok, with digicams making it easier and a lot cheaper to click and click and click some more; S&S have accumulated several gigabytes of so called photos…

Remember the days, when a roll of film costed around Rs.100, and we could get 36 photos from each roll (37, if you were lucky)? we were quite judicious with what we clicked.

Then came the digicam revolution… which meant that the only thing that stops us now is the battery life of our cameras and the capacity of the SD card.

Over the past few years, we have accumulated several GB of photos… lost quite a few when a hard-drive crashed and continue to click away to glory.

Evolution of our photo machines:

While we were on the topic of our photos and videos, Sangeetha and I started listing down the cameras that we have bought till date… a few for ourselves and the rest for our families.

The most memorable ones of the lot are:

The Konica-Pop, which is still in use… by my Pop :-) , the camera lens cover still has teeth marks from our first dog… a dashund.

My first digicam, the Sony Mavica FD75… which used floppy disks as the recording medium. And it could record some 4 or 5 photos on each floppy… so I would carry around a box of floppies wherever I went!

All of these cameras are still around within our family, except the HP R707 which was misplaced by my Brother-in-law, somewhere in Europe.

Till recently we were using the Lumix FX01 for most of our pics… Amazing battery life, really easy to use and has given us the best results always.

Currently we use the Lumix ZS1, a Lumix FZ28 and recently aquired a waterproof Lumix TS2
